The Astrology of Fall, Descending into the Dark Half of the Year

Western astrology is based on the seasons. As we enter Fall season with the Autumn Equinox September 22, we enter the dark half of the year, the season of the “fall” of the sun. The sun begins to lose light each day until it dies the eve of the winter solstice and is born again with the solstice sunrise.  

Join Lori to learn how the meaning of fall’s zodiac signs of Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius are tied to their seasonal qualities.  Learn why we celebrate death and our ancestors during Scorpio season and switch into a candle lighting holiday season when the sun moves into Sagittarius.

Lori will talk about the major planetary configurations this fall including the upcoming solar eclipse Oct.2, Mars and Mercury retrograding and Pluto settling into Aquarius for the long haul.  Birth charts and mini-readings will be provided for all attendees.

Arroyo Grande resident Lori Waters retired from Cal Poly and has been a consulting astrologer since 2019.  Lori has a Professional Diploma of Astrology from Kepler College. She is on the faculty at Kepler College teaching Astrology Fundamentals II: Interpretation Essentials.  She also teaches astrology in her local community.  She serves as the President of the Kepler Astrologer Toastmasters Club and is a professional member of the Organization of Professional Astrologers and the International Society of Astrological Research. She is also a Reiki Master, receiving her attunement in 2017.
